Compare Attendee Data
The biggest difference between the two products is how much information they're built to collect from each person who signs up.
TicketSpice is built to collect more minimal information needed to issue a ticket. While you can still add custom fields to a TicketSpice page to collect more from your attendees, most organizers ask for limited information, including the ticket buyer's name and billing details
RegFox is built to collect detailed information for every registrant, such as name, address, email, session choice, meal choice, T-shirt size, room choice, and job title
Pro Tip: TicketSpice is typically used for events that require less information for each attendee, including concerts, music festivals, shows, exhibits, and galas.
RegFox is typically used for events where registrant details matter, like conferences, camps, classes, and conventions.
Compare the Buying Experience
TicketSpice and RegFox also walk buyers through checkout in different ways, which is worth considering alongside how much data you need to collect.
TicketSpice: The buyer selects how many tickets they want from a ticket block, enters any order-level information once, and checks out for the whole order at one time
RegFox: the person checking out adds each registrant one at a time, completing all required fields for that registrant before adding the next person to the order
Example: In TicketSpice, a buyer can grab four tickets to a concert in a couple of clicks. They then enter any other information for the order and check out.
On a RegFox page, someone signing up four campers fills out the full registration form for each camper individually before checking out.
