Can I accept ACH Payments for my event?

ACH payments are not allowed as a payment form for your event but there is an alternative

ACH (Automated Clearing House) is a bank-to-bank payment method that transfers funds directly from one checking or savings account to another. Itโ€™s often used to avoid credit card processing fees on higher-priced transactions and may also be referred to as a bank transfer or direct deposit.

At this time, ACH payments are not supported as an attendee payment method.

Why ACH Is Not Supported

TicketSpice does not support ACH payments because this payment method does not provide real-time account or funds verification at the time of purchase. This creates a significant risk for event organizers because:

  • Tickets could be issued before payment is verified or received

  • Invalid account numbers or insufficient funds may not be detected immediately

  • ACH rejection notifications can take 7โ€“10 business days

  • There is no reliable recourse if a payment fails after tickets are delivered

While some services can verify bank accounts and available funds, they typically require attendees to log in to their online banking accounts, which can reduce completion rates and create friction during checkout.

Alternative Payment Option

Although ACH is not available, you can still accept non-credit-card payments by enabling offline payments on your ticketing page. Offline payments allow attendees to complete checkout without a credit card while receiving instructions for payment. You can use this payment method to accept alternative forms of payment including physical checks, cash payments, and more.

When using this payment method, attendees can finish the ticketing process and follow the payment instructions you provide. Click here to learn how to set up offline payments for your ticketing page.
