Customize the Confirmation Email

When you enable the confirmation emails, our system will automatically send a confirmation email to the ticket buyer after they complete their order.

Pro Tip: If you would like to send out a unique confirmation confirmation email to each of your ticket levels, you can do so by utilizing our Dynamic Emails feature. To learn more about how to use this feature, click here.

  • From the Pages screen, click the pencil icon on the page you want to edit

  • Go to the Emails tab, and select Confirmation

  • Toggle the Send a confirmation email button to yes

  • Customize the Confirmation Email as you would like

    • Subject line: the first line of the email that your attendees see

    • From name: the from name that your attendees see

    • Reply to email: the email that will receive any replies that your attendees send in response to the email

    • BCC email: an email that receives a copy of the confirmation email (optional)

  • Select the Copy Confirmation Page to Email checkbox if you would like to copy all information in the confirmation page to the confirmation email

  • If you would like to create a custom message, use the text field to customize the message, font, and other elements as desired

  • Click Save Now in the upper-right corner of your page to save your changes. Click Publish to publish these changes to your live page

Pro Tip: By turning on BCC Emails, the email(s) added to the BCC field will receive a copy of the confirmation email every time an attendee signs up for your event. You can add multiple emails to receive BCC emails by separating each email by a comma.

Note: The ##registrants code automatically populates a summary of any attendee information into the confirmation email. This field will show the attendee(s) any information they selected upon purchasing tickets for your event. The ##billing code automatically populates a summary of any billing information that was entered on the order into the confirmation email.

Pro Tip: If your ticket levels do not require an email for each attendee, our system will send the confirmation email to the billing email entered on the order.

If your ticket levels require an email for each attendee, our system will send a confirmation email to each ticket holder with their individual ticket. The system will also send an email to the billing email entered on the order with all of the tickets.

FAQs

What is the purpose of the ##registrants and ##billing tags in the confirmation email?

The ##registrants and ##billing tags will automatically pull in a summary of the order and the billing (receipt) details to the confirmation email. They can be removed if you would prefer. If you would like to test how the confirmation email looks, we recommend utilizing the preview mode (using your real email) to create a test ticket order. Click here to learn how to use the preview mode.

Can I send a unique confirmation email to each of my ticket levels?

Yes, you can send out a unique confirmation confirmation email to each of your ticket levels by utilizing our Dynamic Emails feature. To learn more about how to use this feature, click here.

Can I add the ticket buyer's name to the confirmation email?

Yes! Users can automatically populate the ticket buyer's first and last name entered in the billing section in the confirmation email with the tags #firstname #lastname.

If your ticket levels require names and emails for each attendee, our system will insert the ticket buyer's name β€” not the attendee's name β€” in all confirmation emails sent to your attendees.

Can I add the current date to the confirmation emails?

Right now, the current date cannot be populated to confirmation emails.

What is the Different Between the Reply To Email and the BCC Email?

If an attendee replies to their confirmation, their response will go to the email address listed in the Reply To email field.

Any email addresses listed in the BCC Email field will receive a copy of the confirmation each time your attendee receives a confirmation email for your event. The attendees will not see or reply to the BCC email β€” any BCC emails are simply Blind Carbon Copied on attendee confirmation emails. This is an optional field, and users can add multiple BCC emails if desired.

How can I test how the confirmation email looks?

We recommend using the Preview mode to test how your confirmation email will appear to your attendees. To test using the preview mode, click the Preview button in the top right corner of your TicketSpice Edit page.

The Preview mode launches a test page in a new tab, and doesn't store any data or process any real transactions. For this reason, it is a great way to test the visual experience of your page.
