If you are hosting an event that is free of charge and you don't plan to sell any additional merchandise or accept donations, here is how you can disable the billing section of your ticketing page to host a totally free event.
From the Pages screen, click the pencil icon on the page you'd like to disable billing on.
Hover your mouse over Settings in the top menu bar
Select Basic Setup from the dropdown
Check the box for Disable Billing

When you disable billing on a page, the system may ask you to put a credit card on file (if you don't already have one added) because free tickets are $0.99 per ticket unless you are also already hosting paid events.
