If you want to restrict access to your TicketSpice event page to select participants, password protection is an effective solution. This feature is ideal for situations like offering an early access sale to a specific group or hand-picking individuals who are allowed to register for your event. If you are looking to hand-select individuals for your event, you might also consider using our Pre-Registration feature. In this article, we'll guide you through the steps to password-protect your event page, ensuring that only the desired attendees can gain access.

Jump to...

Create a Password to Restrict Access

  • From the Pages screen, click the pencil icon under the page you want to edit

  • Hover the mouse over the Settings tab

  • Select Restrict Access

  • Toggle the Restrict Access to Your Page button to Yes (it should turn green)

Set your Password and Message

  • Choose the Password Protect Your Page option

  • Enter your desired password into the Password field

  • If desired, include a custom message that will display on your page when potential attendees land on your page while it is restricted

NOTE: The password field for your TicketSpice event page is case-sensitive and can have letters, numbers, symbols, and spaces

Preview the Attendee Experience

Attendees who arrive on your page while it is password protected will see the title "Registration requires a password" and your custom message below with a box where they can enter their password and click Submit. If the password is entered correctly, they will be granted instant access to the page

If they enter the wrong password, they will receive an error message saying, "Oops... The password you entered is incorrect."
