Printer options in TicketSpice

TicketSpice supports two printer options: the StarMicronics TSP100 and the Boca Lemur S. Both connect to the Box Office app and print a scannable QR code on every ticket for your staff to check attendees in with the TicketSpice scanning app, but they're built for different jobs.

StarMicronics TSP100

  • Connects via Bluetooth only

  • Works exclusively within the Box Office app

  • Prints both tickets and receipts, but not wristbands

  • Each ticket includes a QR code scannable by the TicketSpice scanning app

  • Prints on standard receipt paper

  • The more affordable of the two printers

  • Quick and easy to set up

Boca Lemur S

  • Connects via Bluetooth or USB

  • Works with the Box Office app and printing tickets from your computer on your TicketSpice account

  • Prints tickets and wristbands, but not receipts

  • Each ticket includes a QR code scannable by the TicketSpice scanning app

  • Prints on higher-quality ticket stock

  • Sharper print resolution and more design customization options

  • Looks and feels like a traditional event ticket rather than a receipt

  • Costs more than the StarMicronics TSP100

  • Requires more setup, particularly when configuring the USB connection

Pro Tip: If you sell tickets through your website and need to print or reprint tickets for online orders, connect the Boca Lemur S via USB. This lets you print directly from your computer, something the StarMicronics TSP100 can't do.
