Your event page URL is the key link that attendees use to access your event. While changing it isn’t common, there are times when you may need to update it—whether to fix a typo, shorten the link, or make it more relevant. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to view and update your event page URL in TicketSpice, along with important tips and considerations to keep in mind before making any changes.
Example Use Cases
You made a typo originally and want to correct the page URL to appear correctly
You want to shorten the URL to be more compact
Jump To...
Change the Page URL
From the Pages tab in the main menu bar, click the pencil icon under the page you want to edit
Hover over the Settings tab in the top main menu
Select Basic Setup from the dropdown
Edit the text in the Page URL text box
Click Save Now in the upper-right corner of your page to save your changes. Click Publish to publish these changes to your live page
NOTE: After changing your URL....
If you have already accepted orders through the original URL, that original URL will auto-redirect to the new URL.
If you have not accepted any orders through the original URL, and change it, the original URL will give an error when people go to it.
To ensure a smooth transition, if you have promoted the original URL, we recommend submitting at least one test order before making the change. This will activate the auto-redirect feature and prevent broken links.
